 Here’s a Look at the Sonos community
shortly after I joined the team

Main Objectives:

- Coordinate community tactics with teammates in Santa Barbara, CA and Hilversum, NL
- Moderate and manage digital content on the English community of over 250K active members
- Track and report on the French community engagement and other KPI’s using Excel
- Design a tiered ranking system for users across all Sonos communities (EN, FR, DE & NL)
- Create and localize E-mail notifications for inSided using HTML
- Draft and publish hardware/software FAQ's (here are some examples)
- Identify and forge relationships with new and existing SuperUsers
- Formalize SuperUser program (determine metrics and engagement process)
- Transition the community to Branded Templates on inSided
- Coach language SME's on Insided platform and moderation tactics (filters, tagging, etc)
- Generate topic and category weekly tracking reports and present to team at weekly stand-ups

Extra Credit:

- Earned CAPM certification (Certified Associate in Project Management) from PMI
- Participated in Sonos SoundWaves, teaching local school children about sound through science

Additionally, I’d volunteer to help Produce internal product launch parties, holiday parties, and workplace engagement events.


 













While That wasn’t part of my job description, it was great to connect with team members in various arms of the business and understand the company vision from different perspectives.

Building cross-functional relationships gives additional insight into company processes. Tactfully passing that knowledge along to trusted community members builds understanding and more importantly - trust.
